Joe Speck

I find working with glass to be both meditative and therapeutic. Building with layers of colour brings out a certain serenity, ending in a finished piece that all can enjoy. Just as I have worked acres of fields with tractor and combine, I can now place strips of glass to mirror the textures of crops, seen from far above. Mixing clear and vibrant opal coloured glass brings mystery to each piece as you discover something new every time you look into its depths.
